About JAMA Network Open

JAMA Network Open is an international, peer-reviewed, open access, general medical journal that publishes research on clinical care, innovation in health care, health policy, and global health across all health disciplines and countries for clinicians, investigators, and policy makers. JAMA Network Open is a member of the JAMA Network, a consortium of peer-reviewed, general medical and specialty publications.

Journal Frequency and Access. JAMA Network Open is published online every weekday. All articles are published under an open access license and available immediately at publication. All research articles that are accepted for publication require payment of an article processing charge (APC) of $3000. Waivers and discounts on open access article processing charges are available for eligible authors from Hinari Core Offer countries. Editorial Information. JAMA Network Open will publish original research articles and invited commentary on more than 40 medical and health subject areas. See complete list below. JAMA Network Open's Journal Impact Factor is 10.5, the third highest ranking among general medicine open access journals. JAMA Network Open follows the same peer review, editorial, and publishing standards of JAMA and the JAMA Network journals.

Editorial Team. The Editor in Chief of JAMA Network Open is Eli N. Perencevich, MD, MS. Dr Perencevich is Director, Center for Access and Delivery Research & Evaluation (CADRE) at the Iowa City VA Health Care System, and Associate Chair for Clinical and Health Services Research, Professor of Internal Medicine-General Internal Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, and Director, Program in Health Services and Outcomes Research at University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. The Executive Deputy Editor of JAMA Network Open is Stephan D. Fihn, MD, MPH. Dr Fihn is a practicing general internist who is Professor in the departments of Medicine and of Health Services at the University of Washington. Mission Statement.
